• Morningstar China is seeking a talented Financial Writer with in-depth knowledge of the Chinese financial market to create engaging and informative content for local investors in China.

• The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of finance and investment topics, extensive experience in writing about investments, funds, and financial markets, and the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.

• The Financial Writer will play a critical role in creating content that informs and educates readers on China's financial market.

• As a Financial Writer, you will help Morningstar build a substantial following in China by producing insightful articles and multimedia content tailored to the Chinese market.

• This position is based either at the Morningstar China office in Shenzhen or Shanghai.
  

Job Responsibilities

• Write high-quality articles and reports on investments, funds, and financial markets for our various platforms, focusing on the Chinese market and its unique characteristics
  

• Conduct research and analysis on financial topics relevant to China's market

• Write clear and concise articles on financial news, trends, and insights

• Develop content that is engaging, informative, and targeted towards a specific audience

• Create regular financial market analysis, commentary, and opinion pieces tailored to Chinese investors, covering topics like economic policies, industry trends, and investment strategies

• Engage with readers and respond to comments and feedback

• Ensure all published content adheres to Morningstar's editorial and quality standards

• Work closely with internal teams, such as product, research, compliance and marketing team to ensure content consistency and accuracy

• Stay informed on financial market developments and industry trends in China, ensuring content timeliness, relevance, and insightfulness

• Monitor industry trends, news, and developments to ensure our content remains relevant, timely, and insightful

• Develop and maintain relationships with key industry players, such as regulators, asset management companies, and market experts, big Vs to gather insights and enhance content quality

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Journalism, Communications, or a related field

• At least 3 years of experience in financial writing, preferably in the financial industry or financial media with a focus on the Chinese market

• Familiarity with basic concepts and terminology of financial markets, investments, and funds

• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality content

• Proficiency in writing and communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts in a clear and engaging manner

• Familiarity with various content distribution channels, such as WeChat, Weibo, and Toutiao, to maximize content reach and engagement

• Good teamwork and project management abilities, able to work in a multi-tasking and a fast-paced environment

• Innovative spirit and a strong interest in financial markets and investments
